The awards season never ends in India. The latest awards show to take place here is actually an important one. Vogue India held its annual Women of the Year Awards tonight. This year we have had all the reasons to stand up and give a round of applause, loud enough to be heard by every man on this planet, to the women of this country. In attendance were the stalwarts of Bollywood who have been just purely awesome this year.
For starters, Radhika Apte was there. The lady has given damn about people telling her that they are seeing too much of her on screen. Well, to those guys, here is more of Radhika Apte.
Then there was Kareena Kapoor Khan, the star of Veere Di Wedding. The first ever superhit buddy comedy starring an all-female cast. She brought her A-game to the event and well, fashion bloggers all over the world must have so much to write today.
Then there was Alia Bhatt, who has given the country its first 100 crore film, Raazi, that is centred on only a female protagonist.
Let us not forget Kiara Advani, who dared to show the Indian society a very different side of sexuality and desire. That of a woman's side. Cue, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham theme song.
From the young brigade, there was Janhvi Kapoor. She made her Bollywood debut earlier this year.

While there is no doubt that all these women are pure awesomeness, we do feel the guest list could have bee longer. Umm...Tanushree Dutta was missing from the scene. She certainly is the Woman of the Year. Don't you think?
