It was a gala night at Vogue Women of the Year Awards 2018, yesterday. Vogue India also released the special covers of their November issue. The theme of the issue was Women of the Year. Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Faye D'Souza, Ranbir Kapoor were all lucky enough to be featured on the magazine cover. Nope, it is not a typo. We mean Ranbir Kapoor. Ladies and gentlemen, Vogue India just featured a closeup of Ranbir Kapoor's handsome face on 'Women of the Year' special issue. Welcome to the story of the day.
It does sound bizarre. Can't women have one magazine edition to themselves without the need to feature a man on the same issue? Well, in Vogue's defence, the caption on all the magazine covers does read "Women of the Year 2018 (And the men we love)". Okay then. We will let this slide. But one should not expect this kind of leniency from the internet.
Women are pissed. And they are dropping comments on the magazine's Instagram post which is flaunting the cover. And, mind you, these are not those faceless troll profiles. These are all legit females who are just amazed by the GUTS that Vogue India has. Check out some of the angry comments we were able to screenshot.
This won't be the first time Vogue India is under fire. Remember the Suhana Khan issue? Well, we are already looking forward to the next controversy that Vogue India will create. It's fun. Or as one netizen better put it, "Comment section is so LIT, I had to get popcorn".
So, at the end of the day, we gotta thank Vogue for all the entertainment.
