Vivek Oberoi stars as the currently serving Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in his biopic. The movie, titled PM Narendra Modi, was scheduled to release on April 5 but faced opposition that led to its delay. A plea was filed by Aman Panwar, a Congress spokesman, contending that the release of Modi biopic ahead of the election would disturb the level playing field. The supreme court is set to hear the plea to block the films' release on April 8. But the new reports suggest that the makers of the film have announced the new release date of PM Narendra Modi to be April 11. The film has been directed by Omung Kumar, who has titles like Sarabjit and Bhoomi to his credit. Relax Trolls, Vivek Oberoi Knows What He Is Doing! Many were not convinced about Vivek's casting in the titular role. Omung, director of the film, has said, "I have been through this before. When I cast Priyanka Chopra in Mary Kom, everyone said she doesn’t fit the bill; ditto for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Sarabjit. But I dare say Vivek is a very fine actor and will grow on you.”
Interestingly as per reports, PM Modi has plans with the film industry to build a large number of new multiplexes, as per reports. "We need an illimitable increase in the number of movie theatres, especially in the smaller sectors. This will be PM Modi's top concern for the entertainment industry if he returns to power," producer Mahaveer Jain told IANS. Jain, along with a delegation representing the Hindi film industry, has met Modi twice in the recent past.
