Vivek Oberoi Deletes Meme on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan, Abhishek and Aaradhya Bachchan, Posts an Apology on Twitter
After defending his actions in an interview yesterday, Vivek Oberoi now deletes the tweet and apologises on Twitter.
After hitting the headlines and receiving flak from not just his fans but also the film fraternity, Vivek Oberoi has now deleted the controversial tweet which shared a distasteful meme on actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The actor put up a meme yesterday that spoke about Exit Polls 2019 in an analogy of Aishwarya's past relationships including him and Salman Khan. What's shocking is that the meme also had a picture of Aishwarya along with her husband Abhishek Bachchan and his daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
As soon as Vivek shared the tweet, the actor was heavily criticised by Twitter users and also his fans who found the meme insensitive and also suggested that it was wrong on the part of the actor to have shared such a post as a joke. Ever since several Bollywood celebrities have tweeted asking the actor to delete the tweet and apologise. Shockingly enough, the actor was seen defending his move in an interview yesterday and even had a nasty response for Sonam Kapoor who called his act of sharing the meme "disgusting" on Twitter. The actor has now deleted the tweet from his timeline and posted an apology saying, "Sometimes what appears to be funny and harmless at first glance to one, may not be so to others. I have spent the last 10 years empowering more than 2000 underprivileged girls, I can't even think of being disrespectful to any woman ever."

The tweet was being heavily criticised by users over social media mainly because of it dealt with the personal matters of public figures. Also, it was insensitive on part of Vivek Oberoi to share a meme that consisted of a picture of an innocent child who is not a public figure.
