Vishal Dadlani Just Tweeted What we all Wanted to, Warns Composers of Remixing his Old Songs and asks Them to be Original Instead
Vishal Dadlani is furious with new composers for remixing old Bollywood classics and not composing originals instead. Is he overreacting? Definitely NOT.
Bollywood and remixes go hand-in-hand these days and certain music composers are definitely not happy about this trend. A movie like Marjaavaan has two remixes in his entire music album and trust us, none of which has been able to retain its original melody. While some songs like 'Dilbar' and 'Aankh Marey' are able to weave a harmony with the listeners, others simply fail to strike any chord with any of us. Guess, like us, even Vishal Dadlani has had enough of it. Marjaavaan Song Haiya Ho: Rakul Preet Manages to Shine in this Bad Remake of Vinod Khanna and Feroz Khan's Dayavan Song (Watch Video).
The popular composer from Vishal-Shekhar duo took to his Twitter account to warn all the composers in the Bollywood industry of remixing their old songs. He is irked with this new fad and demands the artists to compose their own tunes rather than rely on age-old classics. His tweet was precisely all our emotions rolled into few words and we are glad for someone was able to speak his mind. The composer later warned anyone and every one of lifting his composition without any due credit or permission.

It was only recently when Dr Zeus accused the makers of Ayushmann Khurrana's Bala of using one of his old songs without proper permission or intimation. While Badshah apologised for the misunderstanding on everyone's behalf, the trait of not giving the due credit is not old in B-town. Hopefully, time will sort the entire process and meanwhile, others can start composing some originals.
