Last week, there were two major developments happening when it comes to Indian actors working in International shows. One is good news, the other not-so-good! The good news is that popular standup comedian and actor Vir Das has been roped in to play the lead in the international cop drama show, Whiskey Cavalier. Talking about the bad news, Priyanka Chopra's popular show, Quantico, is cancelled by the network over poor ratings. Interestingly, the network that cancelled Quantico, ABC, has also greenlighted Vir Das' show. Also both Das and Chopra are playing FBI agents.

The actor, however, is quite grateful to Priyanka Chopra and feels that it was her popularity and good work that opened these new avenues for him. Tweeting about this, Vir Das said, "I'd just like to say Priyanka Chopra is a Maverick and a star who has opened the doors for small fish like me to do comparatively microscopic things. So if you feel the need to write an article about both of us, write one that gives her credit and appreciation, because I do." We quite agree with you, Vir!

Priyanka's show will end its current season by June, after which we have to bid her character Alex Parrish goodbye. There is a silver lining here, as we get her back in Bollywood, with Priyanka starring in Salman Khan's Bharat.

Meanwhile talking about Vir Das' show Whiskey Cavalier, it is produced by Warner Bros. Vir will be seen essaying one of the main agents in the FBI named Jai Datta in the series.
