If you have not watched Go Goa Gone yet, you have missed out on a cult classic. Touted as India's first zomcom, the movie has Kunal Kemmu, Vir Das and Anand Tiwari battle survive their way to hordes of zombies in Goa with a little help from Saif Ali Khan's faux Russian drug lord. Go Goa Gone, directed by Raj Nidimoru, Krishna DK, had ended on a cliffhanger that promised a sequel on a larger level. However, the movie's rather underwhelming box office response didn't encourage for a sequel. That is, until now!
Earlier in an interview, Saif Ali Khan has confirmed the possibility of Go Goa Gone 2 happening with nearly the same cast. On July 29, Vir Das, more or less, confirmed this news with a quirky picture that he posted on Twitter. The picture has him along with Kunal Kemmu, Anand Tiwari and the directors. All are looking as if they are wondering about something, as Das asks us in the caption, "Excited? Or 2 Excited?" In case you didn't get the hint yet, he has also tagged Go Goa Gone's Twitter handle as well.

We do wonder where Saif Ali Khan has gone, considering he had such a major role in the first movie. No to worry, though, as Kunal Kemmu has confirmed to TOI that Saif will be a part of the sequel, as he will have the "broadest portion". However, it is not yet confirmed that Puja Gupta, who was the female lead in the first movie, will reprise her role in the sequel.
In an interview given to DNA earlier, Saif Ali Khan had this to say about the sequel, "It’s an exciting idea and I’ve really liked it. I will return as Boris in the sequel. But this time, I’ll be on a different mission. The other characters played by Kunal Kemmu and Vir Das will also be a part of it. Raj and DK have found an interesting premise for the second instalment, which is in sync with the first part. They are currently writing the script. We start filming next January."
