In the aftermath of the tragic Kerala floods, many celebs are opening their purses to help out the state and donate to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, etc have contributed generously to the to the cause. Now Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman, who hails from Kerala and has previously donated to the cause, has again contributed Rs 1 crore to the relief fund.

Rahman, who is touring the USA along with his musical team for a Kerala relief concert, had posted a picture of them holding a cheque of the amount after the event. He captioned the picture as, "From my artistes and me touring the USA... To our brothers and sisters of Kerala! May this small offering help in providing you some relief!" Applause!! And thanks!

However, some Twitter users found an anomaly in the picture. They think they have spotted the fugitive Vijay Mallya among Rahman's entourage that also includes singer Udit Nayaran. Here's the man they think is Mallya -

No folks, that's not Vijay Mallya but he is music arranger and composer Ranjit Barot, who has often collaborated with AR Rahman in the past.

Barot had previously been confused with Mallya before thanks to their similar appearances. So people, don't worry! AR Rahman is not cavorting with fugitives but rather, with super-talented musicians, like always!
