Vidya Balan In Sridevi Biopic Is False News; Hansal Mehta Clarifies
Hansal Mehta clears the air; says NO biopic is being made on late actress Sridevi.
Ever since yesterday there have been reports stating that filmmaker Hansal Mehta has approached Vidya Balan for a biopic that he wants to make on late actress Sridevi. However, there is absolutely NO truth to that. Hansal Mehta took to social media to clear the air about the film where he issued an official clarification saying, that the news is 'totally fake'. Hansal tweeted saying, "CLARIFICATION : I had planned a film for which i wanted to approach Sridevi. That was unfortunately not meant to be. I’m seeing this totally fake news about me approaching @vidya_balan for a Sridevi biopic. This is totally false and there is nothing like that on the anvil." "What I said is that I am determined to make the film I’d planned with her. And that I might approach another actor to fit into that character. Obviously this information has been lost in translation and I’m seeing a flurry of alerts with fake news," he added further. Check out Hansal's tweets here:
The Omerta director was quoted by a leading magazine saying, "There will never be another Sridevi. I was about to approach her for a film. That film will now be dedicated to her. If it finds an actor.” He further added, "I will always regret that I didn’t approach her and could not make a movie with her. But I will make a film on her. It will be made. There are actors (who I have in my mind). I might approach Vidya Balan. I will make the film."
Now that Hansal Mehta has shunned all such reports, we hope rumours about Sridevi's biopic will be put down to rest.
