Vicky Kaushal has time and again proved to be the star of the film, no matter what kind of film it is. From an indie film like Masaan to a mainstream movie like Raazi, he has proved his mettle always. Obviously, just like us, Dharma Productions' owner Karan Johar too is mighty impressed by this handsome performer. After his stellar performance in Alia Bhatt starrer spy thriller which was bankrolled by KJo, he is all set to rope him in another flick. Interestingly, this film will be themed on horror genre, reports Filmfare.

The 30-year-old actor will be seen as the protagonist in this movie directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh. Bhanu is an assistant of director Shashank Khaitan and also was an assistant director for Vicky's film 'Zubaan.'

In an interview, Kaushal spoke heartily about his role of a Pakistani army officer and how he perceives it. Speaking to media, he said, "We’ve been conditioned that way. We can’t pinpoint fingers at anyone. But that’s what was fun to do while playing the part. To try breaking the quintessential mould of the Army guy and the Pakistani guy. When we mix the two, an image always emerges – he would be crude, shrewd and a fanatic. Iqbal’s character breaks the image. That was the beauty of this role."

This will be for the first time that we will see Vicky doing a horror film and we are just to thrilled that he gave his nod for the project. Needless to say, he will make the gold out of it! Are you excited for this film? Do let us know in the comments section below.
