There are some people who do not get the limelight they much-deserved. Mathematician Vashishtha Narayan Singh is one of them. The genius mathematician recently passed away. Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan brought his demise to the notice of the people, in order to make them aware of his stellar achievements in the field of mathematics. Hrithik, who played a mathematician himself in a recent film Super 30, was deeply saddened by the news and tweeted about the same. The actor took to the micro blogging site to write, "Not many people know that yesterday we lost one of the biggest mathematicians that India produced in modern era. Vashishtha Narayan Singh, born in a village in Bihar, solved some of the most difficult equations of mathematics. Deeply saddened by his demise." Vashishtha Narayan Singh hails from Bhojpur district's Basantpur village. His love for the subject not only helped him secure good grades but also impressed the scholars of the subject. He also got invited to complete PhD from California University in 1969. He completed the same on scholarship. He has also worked at coveted educational institutes like  IIT-Kanpur, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research-Mumbai and Indian Statistical Institute-Kolkata. Indeed, it is a shame when talented beings like him don't get enough due for their research and contribution. However, the actor has done his part by paying the tribute and letting people know about him.
