After 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' , Varun Dhawan, Shashank Khaitan and Karan Johar are teaming up for 'Rannbhoomi'. The film was announced a few months back leaving the rest of the details to fans' imagination. Even though we now know the lead star of this flick touted to be a magum opus, there were light speculations of the lead actress. According to the reports in Midday, Sara Ali Khan is being considered for the role. Saif Ali Khan's pretty daughter will debut through  Sushant Singh Rajput starrer 'Kedarnath'. However, even before her debut she has already been roped in Ranveer Singh-Rohit Shetty collab 'Simmba'.

This ambitious movie that will release in 2020 is the third collaboration of the Judwaa 2 star with the Dharma Productions and the maker of Dulhania franchise. Johar earlier told DNA, "Rannbhoomi is Shashank’s colossal and ambitious imagination to attempt a hat-trick with Varun and Dharma Productions." Shashank added, "Rannbhoomi is a warrior film, which showcases love, relationships, sacrifices, revenge, and heroism. I remember, I began developing it in December 2015 and shared the idea with Varun, who got excited about it. Now, Karan has given us the wings to fly and we are excited to turn this dream into a reality."

Sara Ali Khan's debut film hit the roadblocks just during the first schedule and left it hanging for a short period of time. The reason was the tiff between the director Abhishek Kapoor aka Gattu and producer Prerna Arora of KriArj Entertainment. However, if her role in this mega movie is confirmed, she will soon become one of the leading actresses of B-town.
