Varun Dhawan joined the cast of Salman Khan's Bharat, as per reports, some time back. The details of his role which was limited to a cameo were not divulged. But a new report by Bollywood Hungama suggests that Varun will be essaying the role of a young Dhirubhai Ambani in the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial. That is quite mature of the actor, given the fact that Bharat is the reason Katrina Kaif had to drop out of Varun starrer dance film at the last minute. Moreover, the details of the character sound extremely interesting. Earlier, Abhishek Bachchan has played a character inspired by late Dhirubhai Ambani in the film, Guru. We are extra curious to see how Varun will play the role.
As per a source by the entertainment portal, "Earlier it was unclear whether Varun’s cameo would be a song or a role, but now it is known that he will be seen playing the younger version of the late Dhirubhai Ambani in Bharat.” Late Ambani was one of the most successful businessmen of the world. Bharat is fast approaching to the date when it will wrap up the principal photography. The movie is eyeing for an Eid release this year, for which it should enter post-production as soon as possible.
Bharat is an adaptation of the Korean film Ode to My Father. Apart from Salman and Katrina, and Varun, the movie stars Nora Fatehi, Sunil Grover, Tabu and Disha Patani in key roles. The movie is co-produced by Reel Life Productions, T-Series Films and Salman Khan Films.
