Usually, most films are out of theatres by week 5 especially if they don't star an A-list actor or an actress. However, that's not the case with Uri: The Surgical Strike. Despite being a medium-budget film and starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead for the very first time, Aditya Dhar's directorial venture has done outstanding business at the box office. In fact, the film is still running in the theatres and also minting big money which surely hasn't happened in a long time. The military drama is currently in its sixth week and so far has minted Rs 227.37 crore in India. Uri - The Surgical Strike Box Office Collection: Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam Starrer Surpasses Rs 225 Crore Mark at the Ticket Windows.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to microblogging site Twitter a while back and revealed the updated figures. He wrote, "#UriTheSurgicalStrike collects in crores even on [sixth] Mon... Also better than [sixth] Fri... Should cross ₹ 230 cr by [sixth] Thu... [Week 6] Fri 1.20 cr, Sat 2.51 cr, Sun 3.21 cr, Mon 1.32 cr. Total: ₹ 227.37 cr. India biz."

Further, a report in Boxofficeindia.com states, "The way the film is going now the 250 crore nett total is a possibility and it should on a worst-case scenario cross Simmba to be among the top ten NETT grossers of all time." Since the josh is still high in theatres even we feel that Uri could easily enter the Rs 250 crore club. Uri the Surgical Strike Box Office: Vicky Kaushal’s War Film Creates History by Beating Baahubali 2 – Here’s How.

Apart from Vicky, Uri: The Surgical Strike also stars Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal and television actor Mohit Raina in important roles. The film released last month on January 11 and opened to not so great reviews from critics. However, that has hardly affected the film's business at the BO and that's pretty evident by now.
