Who would have thought that a medium budget film like Uri: The Surgical Strike could set the box office on fire. But that's exactly what has happened. Vicky Kaushal's military drama has been in the theatres for six weeks now and its still high on Josh at the ticket windows which is marvelous to say the least. The Aditya Dhar directorial venture is doing so well that its now heading towards surpassing Simmba's lifetime collection. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to microblogging site Twitter a while back and revealed the same. Uri - The Surgical Strike Box Office Collection: Vicky Kaushal's Film Is Rock Steady in the Sixth Week, Rakes in Rs 227.37 Crore.

He tweeted, "#UriTheSurgicalStrike is having a miraculous run... [Sixth] Tue is higher than Fri and Mon... Will challenge *lifetime biz* of #Simmba... Now eyes ₹ 250 cr... [Week 6] Fri 1.20 cr, Sat 2.52 cr, Sun 3.23 cr, Mon 1.32 cr, Tue 1.38 cr. Total: ₹ 228.78 cr. India biz."

As per Boxofficeindia.com, the collections of Uri went up in Maharashtra on Tuesday and in few other areas of North. The reported stated, "There is just no stopping this film Uri - The Surgical Strike as collections went up again on its sixth Tuesday. There was a minor holiday in Maharashtra which helped but the collections were also a little up in some centers of North India also." Pulwama Terror Attack: This Should Not be Forgotten and Should Not Be Forgiven Says Vicky Kaushal.

The way Vicky starrer is performing at the moment, it is very much likely that Uri could surpass Simmba at BO and also enter the Rs 250 crore club. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, the film has been made on a reported budget of Rs 45 crore and also stars Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal and Mohit Raina in pivotal roles.
