Twinkle Sharma Murder: Akshay Kumar Expresses His Grief, Says Not the Kind of World We Want for Our Children

Three days after toddler Twinkle Sharma went missing in Aligarh her mutilated and burnt body was found in a dumping ground in Tappal, Aligarh. The 3-year-old's brutal murder has shocked the nation and everyone is expecting the case to be fast-tracked so that the culprit can be punished at the earliest. Akshay took to Twitter to express his shock and disappointment saying, "Horrified, upset and angry to know about baby #TwinkleSharma! This is definitely not the kind of world we want for our children. We need immediate and strictest punishment for such a heinous crime. #JusticeForTwinkle."

The motive behind the murder was a sum of Rs 10,000 that Twinkle's parents owed the accused. An official statement about the case was given by Akash Kulhari, SSP Aligarh who told ANI, “A case of kidnapping was registered on May 31. The accused have been arrested and they have confessed to the crime. It was a case of personal enmity but there is no sign of rape. The minor was strangled to death and her eyes were gouged out. The accused are in jail now."
