Before Parineeti Chopra it was Shraddha Kapoor who was roped in to play the role of Indian badminton champ Saina Nehwal. But due to her tight schedules, Shraddha had to step down and that’s how Pari bagged the role. This is the first time that we’ll see Parineeti in a biopic and we are sure, even fans are excited about it. And now the latest update is Tumhari Sulu actor Manav Kaul has been roped as the coach in Saina, an Amole Gupte’s directorial. Manav Kaul was seen playing the role of Vidya Balan’s husband in Tumhari Sulu, and fans loved his performance in the film. As per a report in a leading tabloid, the makers of Saina believe that Manav is the perfect fit to essay the role of a coach in this upcoming flick. About it a source revealed to Mumbai Mirror, “Amole and his team felt that Manav would suit the role. He has begun prep and the research for his role. Parineeti Chopra has not yet started shooting for Saina. She is busy prepping and getting trained in badminton. About it Parineeti had earlier told Mirror, “Prep usually starts early because we have booked courts in slots when there are no distractions of any kind. We start at 6am and wind up by 8am. I will have to live this regimented life for the next nine months, but I am pretty kicked about it. I want to do justice to the film and to Saina”. Director Amole Gupte has earlier helmed successful films such as Stanley Ka Dabba and Hawa Hawaai and hence the expectations are high from this upcoming biopic.
