Tumbbad Motion Poster OUT! Aanand L Rai Invites You To a World of Horror and Mystery - Watch Video

Sohum Shah, known for his roles in Ship of Theseus, Talvar and Simran, is joining hands with his SOT director in producing Tumbbad, where he plays the lead role. Now director-producer Aanand L Rai is also on board in presenting the film, as his production house Colour Yellow Productions, along with Eros, has associated itself with the film. Rai, who is currently directing Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in Zero, has also unveiled the motion poster of the film.
It is quite an intriguing poster that doesn't reveal much and yet warns us of something perilous about to be happening. The motion poster reveals a child and a man looking at some mysterious carving of a deity, with an ominous BG score being played. While sharing the motion poster on Twitter, Aanand L Rai wrote, "Too excited to share with you the world of #Tumbbad. Our first in the genre of horror and mystery in association with talented @s0humshah. Aao apne andar ke dar se milen." Well, we are hooked!
In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, Aanand L Rai has this say about presenting the film, "I watched Tumbbad four months ago, before taking off for the US schedule of Zero. It was a very instinctive decision. The moment I saw the film, I wanted to be associated with it. I am excited. We are looking at an October release." Tumbbad is revealed to be horror-mystery-thriller set in colonial India with fantasy elements, as per the report.
Rai also has high praises for the lead man, Sohum Shah, who has also written the script of Tumbbad. He said, "He is a brilliantly creative guy. You need guts to come up with a film like Tumbbad and hats off to him to have stood by it as a producer and an actor. It’s not easy because for a new rulebook, you first need to break certain rules and then work on rewriting them."
