Produced by Aanand L Rai, the film stars Sohum Shah chilling our spine with his Tumbbad tale. After six years of work on this project, Aanand L Rai and Sohum Shah have finally been able to get a clearing with respect to releasing the film.
The story basically revolves around a young boy Vinayak, who declares that the old rundown mansion in the village of Tumbbad has treasure burieed under its soil and that he, the rightful heir would be the rightful heir to the goodies after the owner dies. The unlocked gates of the mansion only call out to chaos and mythical encounters. Oh yes, there is an evil spirit too, because without it the story would be incomplete!
Tumbbad is set to release on October 12 in four languages, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. The film is co-produced by Film i Vst and Filmgate Films and jointly bankrolled by Little Town Films production in association with Colour Yellow productions.
