Total Dhamaal Box Office Collection Day 6: Ajay Devgn's Film Witnesses Slight Decline, Mints Rs 88.05 Crore
Despite witnessing a slight decline, Total Dhamaal fared well on Wednesday.
Ajay Devgn's newest release Total Dhamaal is going steady at the ticket windows and will soon enter the Rs 100 crore club. The comic caper, which is directed by Indra Kumar and also stars Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and few others, is particularly doing well in single screen theatres. Considering its a family entertainer with Pan-India appeal, it's not surprising that Total Dhamaal is pulling the crowd in the cinema halls all across India. On day 6, though the Indra Kumar directorial witnessed a slight dip in the collections, it still managed to rake in good enough moolah at the BO. Total Dhamaal Box Office Collection Day 5: Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor Starrer Is Going Steady at the Ticket Windows, Rakes in Rs 81 Crore.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the popular microblogging site Twitter and revealed the updated figures of the film. He tweeted, "#TotalDhamaal is steady on Day 6... Minimal decline [mass pockets] should ensure healthy returns in Weekend 2... Inches closer to ₹ 100cr... Fri 16.50 cr, Sat 20.40 cr, Sun 25.50 cr, Mon 9.85 cr, Tue 8.75 cr, Wed 7.05 cr. Total: ₹ 88.05 cr. India biz."
Further, a report in Boxofficeindia.com stated, "Total Dhamaal is holding up well across the country. Gujarat / Saurashtra and UP are the best areas but Delhi NCR and East Punjab which were on the lower side over the weekend have sustained well over the weekdays. The first week is looking at 92.50 crore nett if the collections drop another 15% like they have on Tuesday and Wednesday."
While Ajay starrer will easily cross the Rs 100 crore mark in India, it could face tough competition from Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon's Luka Chuppi which releases tomorrow. Though Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar's Sonchiriya is also arriving in theatres, it will hardly have any impact on Total Dhamaal as its a niche film which will cater only to a certain section of the audience.
