Total Dhamaal Box Office Collection Day 4: Ajay Devgn's Comic Caper Does Well on Monday, Rakes in Rs 72.25 Crore
The film is doing exceptionally well in single screen theatres.
Ajay Devgn's latest outing Total Dhamaal is enjoying a good run at the box office. Co-starring Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Arshad Warsi, and Riteish Deshmukh, the comedy adventure has been directed by Indra Kumar and its the third installment in the successful Dhamaal franchise. After getting off to a great start on day 1, the film went on to do terrific business over the weekend and ended up collecting Rs 60 crore in the first three days itself. On day 4, Total Dhamaal even passed the crucial Monday test and now the film is eyeing to enter the Rs 100 crore. Just a while back, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to microblogging site Twitter and revealed the updated figures. He wrote, "#TotalDhamaal puts up a winning total on Day 4 [Mon]... Mass pockets/single screens are exceptional... Metros/plexes are healthy... Eyes ₹ 90 cr+ total in Week 1... Fri 16.50 cr, Sat 20.40 cr, Sun 25.50 cr, Mon 9.85 cr. Total: ₹ 72.25 cr. India biz."
Talking about the film's performance, he further pointed out, "#TotalDhamaal has an edge over other mass entertainers... Families/kids are patronising it big time... No wonder, mass circuits/single screens + metros + plexes in Tier-2 cities are *collectively* putting up a strong total... Normal ticket rates [not hiked] are a plus."
Adarsh also said that if filmmakers make movies that hold pan-India appeal only then can the trade expect good days. He tweeted, " There’s no denying that national chains [plexes in metros and beyond metros] contribute to a big total, but let’s not overlook the contribution by mass pockets/single screens... Make movies that hold pan-India appeal, only then can we expect achche din for trade. #TotalDhamaal." Going by the current response, we are pretty sure Total Dhamaal will continue its good streak at the box office. However, the film could slow down from Friday onwards as Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon's rom-com Luka Chuppi is arriving in theatres along with Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Padenkar's dacoit drama Sonchiriya.
