Total Dhamaal Box Office Collection Day 10: Ajay Devgn's Multi-Starrer Has a Rocking Sunday, Rakes in Rs 117.77 Crore
Total Dhamaal witnessed a big jump on its second Sunday.
Total Dhamaal, which released on February 22, is having a dream run at the Indian box office. Starring Ajay Devgn in the lead alongside Anil Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Arshad Warsi, and few others, the film entered the Rs 100 crore club on day 9 and is now heading towards the Rs 150 crore mark at the domestic box office. Directed by Indra Kumar, the adventure comedy opened to pretty much good reviews and then stormed the ticket windows from day 1 itself. Considering its a family entertainer, Total Dhamaal is drawing the audience all across India including in single screen theatres. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to microblogging site Twitter a while back and announced the updated figures. He wrote, "#TotalDhamaal catches speed on [second] Sat and jumps on Sun... Massive gains from mass circuits... Proves, yet again, entertainers having a mandate of families/kids will always work at BO... [Week 2] Fri 4.75 cr, Sat 7.02 cr, Sun 11.45 cr. Total: ₹ 117.77 cr. India biz."
Adarsh also tweeted, "#TotalDhamaal biz at a glance...Week 1: ₹ 94.55 cr, Weekend 2: ₹ 23.22 cr. Total: ₹ 117.77 cr. Will remain rock-steady today [second Mon] due to partial holiday [#Mahashivratri]. India biz."
Further, a report in Boxofficeindia.com stated, "Total Dhamaal was excellent on its second Sunday as it collected over 11 crore nett for a second weekend total of 22.50 crore nett. The drop from the first weekend is 63% which is good trending. The second-weekend collections for this film were almost as much as the second-week collections of Gully Boy." The trade portal also pointed out that Total Dhamaal did exceptionally well in and in and around Gujarat on Sunday. The way Ajay starrer is performing at the moment, it seems the film will easily mint big money in the coming days. Co-produced by Devgn and Kumar, Total Dhamaal is the third installment of the Dhamaal franchise and also its most successful one.
