Total Dhamaal becomes the fourth film of 2019 to enter the Rs 100 crore club.
Indra Kumar's latest directorial venture Total Dhamaal has finally entered the Rs 100 crore club. Starring Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and a few others, the adventure comedy released last week on February 22 and got off to a flying start at the domestic box office. Because of its Pan-India appeal, the film has maintained a good run not only in urban areas but also in mass circuits. Total Dhamaal, which is the third installment of the Dhamaal franchise, has also become Ajay Devgn's 9th 100 crore film which we think is mighty impressive, right peeps? Total Dhamaal Box Office Collection Day 8: Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor's Adventure Comedy Rakes in Rs 99.30 Crore.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to microblogging site Twitter a while back and announced the updated the figures. He wrote, #TotalDhamaal crosses ₹ 100 cr... Biz jumps on [second] Sat... Mass circuits [excellent] and metros [good] collectively contribute to the growth... Will score higher numbers today [second Sun]... [Week 2] Fri 4.75 cr, Sat 7.02 cr. Total: ₹ 106.32 cr. India biz."
Adarsh also tweeted, "#Dil, #Beta, #Raja, #Ishq, #Masti, #Dhamaal... Indra Kumar has delivered a string of hits... With #GrandMasti, he delivered his first ₹ 100 cr film and now, with #TotalDhamaal, Indu ji - as he is affectionately called - has again proved that he knows the pulse of the audience." Total Dhamaal Box Office Collection Day 7: Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor Starrer Has a Fantastic Week 1, Earns Rs 94.55 Crore.
Further, a report in Boxofficeindia.com stated, "The third week could cross 30 crore nett and barring the last two Golmaal films and Housefull 2 no other comedy film has crossed 30 crore nett in week two. The lifetime business of the film will depend on where the film lands on the third Friday. It still has an outside chance of 150 crore nett however 140 crore nett plus looks the more likely scenario." Interestingly, Total Dhamaal is Riteish's 5th and Arshad Warsi's third film to cross Rs 100 crore mark. As for Madhuri, reportedly it's her first film to have achieved this milestone. Surprising, no?
