If all goes well, Sanjay Dutt may just present to you the sequel of his 1993 classic, Khalnayak. Of course, the actor will reprise his role as the big bad villain but when it comes to protagonist, he thinks Tiger Shroff will fit the bill. The Baaghi actor will play his father, Jackie Shroff's son in the sequel and it's only a wise decision to cast him for the same. A trade source in his conversation with Mid-Day suggested, "Buzz is, the sequel will kick off with Ballu (Sanjay Dutt) coming out of prison after having served his sentence and meeting Ram's son. While Sanju will reprise his role, he stated that he has reached out to Tiger Shroff for a pivotal part in the film. It is a wise idea to have Tiger play the role of Ram's son considering Jackie played the honest police officer in the first instalment." Meanwhile, Ghai is in no mood to allow anyone to make a sequel or remake of his classic. When the tabloid got in touch with the veteran filmmaker to confirm the news about Sanjay planning a sequel to his classic, he said, "Sanjay Dutt and few other producers have approached us, but we have not sold the rights of the sequel of Khalnayak to anyone yet." The director has often expressed his desire to have creative control over the remakes and sequel of his past movies, which is why the deal never materialises. Hopefully, things will work out in this case.
