Student of the Year 2 (SOTY2) produced under the banners of Dharma Productions was released on May 10. Besides Tiger Shroff in the lead, this film also introduced two refreshing faces of Bollywood, debutantes Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday. This campus-romance drama is a sequel to the 2012 film Student of the Year that introduced Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. The expectations were quite high from this Punit Malhotra directorial, however the response from fans and critics are not that great. The film opened to negative reviews but looks like that really doesn’t matter to SOTY2 gang.
