There is no doubt that Thugs of Hindostan would get the biggest release of the year for a Bollywood film this year. For one, the movie has Aamir Khan in the lead and the man is box office gold. It is a high-on-spectacle action saga that will appeal to viewers of masala entertainers with the presence of Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif only doing good for the film's prospects. And of course, Thugs of Hindostan is bankrolled by Yash Raj Films (YRF), one of the most prestigious production houses. Rs 2400! As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Thugs of Hindostan has got 5000 screens in India which includes all the languages (Hindi, Tamil and Telugu). Overall, Thugs of Hindostan has got 7000 screens. Also as per certain trade sources, Thugs of Hindostan has shown 25% occupancy. Also going by a report in Box Office India, the movie has sold over two lakh tickets in pre-sales. Trade experts are predicting a Rs 40 crore plus opening day collections for the film.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya of Dhoom 3 and Tashan fame, Thugs of Hindostan also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Ronit Roy and Lloyd Owen.
