The first glimpse at the heavily guarded look of Aamir Khan from the upcoming film, Thugs of Hindostan, is out now. And well, we don't get what the fuss was all about. Aamir plays a character named Firangi in the pirate adventure film, it has been revealed. We were praying that this movie should in no way take an inspiration from Pirates of the Carribean, but alas, there turned out to be a similarity. Aamir's Firangi looks like a spiritual rip off of Jack Sparrow. Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh - Whose Thugs Of Hindostan Poster Impressed You The Most?

In fact, Firangi - the Thug we should be beware of, as per Katrina Kaif - looks like a hybrid between Jack Sparrow, Mad Hatter from Alice in the Wonderland, and Willy Wonka, the owner of the gigantic, magical chocolate factory.

The top hat that Aamir is wearing is exactly like Willy Wonka's. The coat also matches minus the colour. While Wonka's choice was purple, Firangi is seen wearing a green coat. The bottle of rum, the quirkiness and the tardiness certainly are giving Jack Sparrowish vibe. What do you think? We can now only hope that this character is in no way similar to the famous PoC character. Because, seriously, there is only so much #GandiCopy a fan can handle. And of course, the hair bear similarity to Mad Hatter.

The movie is based on Philip Meadows Taylor's 1839 novel Confessions of a ThugThugs of Hindostan also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh alongside Aamir and Katrina. The movie has been directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya - the man behind Katrina and Aamir's superhit, Dhoom 3.

The first trailer of Thugs of Hindostan is slated to release on September 27, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Late Yash Chopra.
