This Shah Rukh Khan Movie Will Be The Last Time You Will See Sridevi On Big Screen

Bollywood has still not recovered from the shock of Sridevi's demise, as the brilliantly talented actress passed away two days back while attending a wedding in UAE with her family. Sridevi was one of Bollywood's true divas who rules the industry, along with Tamil and Telugu cinema, for nearly three decades. Directors used to write roles especially for her, and that says a lot about her, considering how patriarchal Indian cinema is. There is a huge hole left by her demise in Indian cinema, that won't be filled any time soon.

After her brilliant performance in the revenge drama, Mom, Sridevi had not signed any movie though she was in talks to star in director Gauri Shinde's next. Sridevi was more interested in being a mentor to her daughter Janhvi Kapoor who is making her debut with Dhadak, which is scheduled to release later this year. However, it is not that Sridevi hasn't shot for any movie in the interim.

She was one of the celebs included in the long list of cameos Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie, Zero. We had earlier seen a picture of hers (seen above) posing with Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt and Karisma Kapoor after the shoot was done. The movie also starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, also has Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Juhi Chawla, Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan in special appearances.

Zero is directed by Aanand L Rai, who, like us, can't get over the demise of his fave actress, as he tweeted,

Zero is scheduled to release on December 21. While the movie was already on our high-anticipation list, now we have got a far more poignant and emotional reason to watch the same.
