The makers have dropped the first official trailer of The Zoya Factor on August 29, and as expected, it is quite quirky, funny and merges two of India's favourite loves with much dexterity - cinema and cricket. Sonam plays Zoya, an advertising executive, who was born on the same moment when India lifted the World Cup in 1983. During a work assignment, she comes across a beleaguered Indian Cricket team, led by a suave Nikhil Khoda (Dulquer Salmaan). Meanwhile, the attention begins to get to Zoya's head, and cracks begin to form in their budding relationship.

The trailer has enough fun moments, but one scene that caught our eye came and went as quickly as the blink of an eye. The scene had Zoya sit with the cricket team on a buffet table. Dulquer Salmaan is seen sitting on the extreme left.
Eagle-eyed observers may have noticed that this is a recreation of the famous artist Leonardo Da Vinci's popular mural painting, The Last Supper. For the uninitiated, the painting recreated Jesus Christ's last supper with his 12 apostles before he was betrayed by Judas, arrested by the Jews and sent for crucifixion.
As with The Last Supper, there are also 13 people in the still depicted above for The Zoya Factor, including Zoya herself. So what does it mean? Well, it could be a play at the fact that how Zoya who was seen as a divine charm for the team, is soon betrayed by the repercussions that follow with the attention and publicity which such a notion generates.
Whatever the reason may be for that particular still, we have to say, 'Well Played!' The Zoya Factor, directed by Abhishek Sharma, also stars Angad Bedi, Sanjay Kapoor, Manu Rishi, Koel Puri and Sikander Kher. The movie is all set to release on September 20.
