The actor will be seen essaying the role of Shyam Sundar Tripathi, whose only aim in life is to win. The Tashkent Files is reportedly based on the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. The movie is helmed by Chocolate and Buddha in a Traffic Jam fame, Vivek Agnihotri. The movie stars Mithun Chakraborty, Naseeruddin Shah, Shweta Basu, Pankaj Tripathi, Vinay Pathak, Mandira Bedi, Pallavi Joshi, Ankur Rathee and Prakash Belawadi.

Vivek’s directorial venture is bankrolled by Zee Studios and is slated to hit the theatres on April 12. The trailer for the film will be out on 25th March.
