Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar starrer The Sky Is Pink is receiving tremendous positive response. The critics and the fans can't stop raving about the same. However, the first day collections of this Shonali Bose directorial at the ticket windows got everyone shocked. Despite the rave reviews and an overwhelming response, it only collected Rs 2.20 crore nett approx on day one. However, day two has seen a growth. The film has managed to collect Rs 4 crore on the first Saturday taking the total collection to Rs 6.50 crore, as per Box Office India. It should be noted that the film is currently competing with two of the major blockbusters War and Joker. The Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff starrer War has gained a momentum at the ticket windows and is currently unstoppable. On the other hand, Joaquin Phoenix's stellar performance and amazing reviews has got the fans picking up this Hollywood flick, Joker.

However, the buzz of Priyanka's comeback film has been high. The first day low collections got the fans to wonder whether Bollywood fans deserve 'good films?' However, looks like the positive word of mouth and the weekend holidays have worked in the favour of the film. It has to be seen whether the audience chooses this critically acclaimed inspirational film over the massy entertainers on Sunday too. The film is based on late teen motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary who suffered from pulmonary fibrosis.
