In 2019, Salman Khan fans would get not just one movie from their idol but two. We already know that Salman Khan is releasing his much ambitious Bharat during Eid 2019. The movie is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, who earlier gave two blockbusters with Salman Khan in Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. Priyanka Chopra and Disha Patani are the female leads in the movie.

However, as per certain reports, Salman Khan also wanted to release Dabangg 3 before that, with the makers aiming to release the movie during the Republic Day weekend next year (clashing with Hrithik Roshan's Super 30). The movie is produced by Salman's brother Arbaaz and Salman will be shooting for the same simultaneously with Bharat.

Now, if you go by a report in Mid-Day, Salman Khan might postpone the release of Dabangg 3 for Bharat. Reason? Race 3. While the movie is doing good at the box office entering the Rs 100 crore club within three days, Race 3 has met with widespread criticism, with even the Bhai fans not liking the movie. So Salman wants to have his next release be a movie with some substance in it, and that happens to be Bharat, which is an official remake of the acclaimed Korean movie, An Ode To My Father.

An unnamed trade source told the publication, "Both films will be shot simultaneously from September. But the plan is to release Bharat first." Mid-Day also spoke to other popular trade analysts about this and here's what they have to say,

Taran Adarsh: "Salman and Ali have a strong track record, so it has an edge over any other Salman film."

Amod Mehra: "Salman needs to be part of a powerful story, similar to what he did with Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) and Sultan (2016). He has to restore his image as a bankable actor."

Atul Mohan: "Dabangg 3 is a masala film, while Bharat offers something new. So it makes sense to release it first."

We also agree that it is definitely a smart game-plan from Salman to release Bharat first, and win back the trust of his fan-base.
