Nawazuddin Siddiqui is not done with biopics, it seems. After impressing the critics with his performances in Manjhi and Manto, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will now be seen as the late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray in his biopic, simply named Thackeray. It is an ironical casting since the political leader was infamously known for his polarising views on Muslims and Uttar Pradesh, and Nawaz belonging to both. Thackeray is directed by Abhijit Panse and written by Shiv Sena politician Sanjay Raut. Amrita Rao is making her comeback to Bollywood with this film, playing Balasaheb's wife Meena Tai. The first trailer of the film shows us what to expect from the movie - a glorified view of the political kingpin's life as he rose to prominence and became a figurehead for the Marathi manoos. While Nawaz doesn't exactly get the accent right, he did nail the nuances and the mannerisms for sure. One big highlight of the trailer has been the fiery dialogues that Nawazuddin quotes in the film, clearly meant to elicit applause from the masses.Thackeray Trailer: Nawazuddin Siddiqui Starrer Looks Impressive, Say Fans – Read Tweets.
