Thackeray Trailer: Amrita Rao Stars as Meenatai and We Can’t Wait to Watch the Actress on the Big Screen Once Again
Welcome back, Amrita Rao.
The first full-fledged trailer of the upcoming film Thackeray has been released and has been watched. While the movie stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead role, it is someone else who stole the show for me. As a fan of Amrita Rao, I was stunned. The actress gets only one shot in the full trailer and that is enough for me to buy the tickets. You all might watch the movie to see Nawauddin's acting prowess or to know the story of Thackeray, but I am going to be there to just look at my all-time favourite Bollywood heroine, Amrita Rao, on the big screen again. My little heart cannot hold so much excitement.
Amrita Rao gained recognition after she starred alongside Shahid Kapoor in the romantic comedy Ishq Vishk. She is the one who made Chale Jaise Hawayein in Main Hoon Na the cult hit it is today with her screen presence. But like many many terrific actresses, Amrita, too, did not get the work she deserved. But adulation from the fans came in abundance. With her back on the screen, the fandom is only going to increase. Just look at her in this one shot in Thackeray...You know she is here to make a mark once again. The actor is essaying the role of Meenatai, wife of Bal Thackeray in this biopic.
Producer Sanjay Raut, while talking about Amrita has said, "Meenatai was never in politics but she was the lady who held the Thackeray family together as also Shiv Sena, the party Balasaheb formed. She was his backbone and the embodiment of matrutwa (motherhood). When you see her on screen, you will know that she is best suited for the role,"
