There have been good teachers and there have been bad teachers in our lives. The good ones have been those whose teachings we quite remember for the duration of our lives, while the bad ones' misdemeanours are also not forgotten. Some of the teachers have been so bad at their jobs, that we wonder why they are still on the job. Now let's talk about some of the 'teachers' we have seen in Bollywood cinema.

We have had many actors play teachers in films and some of them turn out to be iconic roles. Like for example, Aamir Khan's empathetic drawing teacher in Taare Zameen Par, or Rani Mukerji's lovable madam in Hichki. There are other bad teachers like Amole Gupte in Stanley Ka Dabba or Neeraj Kabi in Hichki that the movies are not afraid to call out.

But there are some teachers in films who are shown positively in movies or get away from major errors, while in real life, they would have been thrown out of their jobs instantly. In this special Teacher's Day feature, we will look at five such teachers who would have been kicked from the schools/colleges or even got arrested in real life.

Boman Irani in 3 idiots

This man has led a student to commit suicide and other to attempt that (nearly costing his life). Why the hell is Virus still on the job? Unless he owns the college! While we are talking about Boman Irani, his character, Dr Asthana in Munna Bhai MBBS, is actually good at his job and yet is shown in a bad light because the cheater of a hero is on the other side!

Shah Rukh Khan in Mohabbatein

Raj Aryan has been hired to teach music to the students. But after one random violin rendition, he talks about love and love only. He also encourages his students to break the rules of the institution, nearly expelling three students in the process. More than a teacher, Raj Aryan was a walking-talking Tinder app.

Archana Puran Singh in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

While not openly flirting with the principal, Ms Briganza's way of teaching and her obsession with Romeo Juliet are strangely disconcerting. No wonder, students of this college are seen less in classrooms and more in basketball courts.

Chitrangada Singh in Desi Boyz

Yes, her student, played by Akshay Kumar, has been a former paramour, but that doesn't justify her showering so much attention on just one student. That strip-tease teaching is enough to get her a memo from the HR department!

Rishi Kapoor in Student Of The Year

Considering that he has been doing those Student of the Year contests for years, it's a wonder why no one has objected to Dean Vashishth's dicey methods of making boys and girls compete in some rather contrite competitions together. Also let's not talk about the undue affections he pours on the married coach, played by Ronit Roy!
