Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar's sexual harassment row has taken the industry by storm. Twitter has been in the constant conversation about the newly started #MeToo movement in Bollywood just like it was started in Hollywood. Many of the Bollywood celebs came out to speak on the topic supporting Tanushree. Whereas, some of them avoided answering the question. Recently, Shakti Kapoor was asked about the case that happened in 2009, on which he said that he was a kid then!
Speaking with ANI, the Raja Babu actor said, “I have just returned from the US yesterday, I had been there for Ganpati Bappa's pooja. I don't know anything about this case.” He was then made aware of the ongoing controversy on which the 66-year-old actor said, "This was ten years back, I was a kid back then.”
The case erupted recently when the Aashiq Banaya Apne actress alleged how Nana Patekar sexually harassed on the set of 2009 film 'Horn Ok Pleassss'. She claimed that he also threatened her after the incident post which she had to leave the sets. Nana, on the other hand, denied the allegations saying that she is lying and has also sent her a legal notice. Earlier, Bollywood stars like Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra, Richa Chadha, Frieda Pinto, Anurag Kashyap, Twinkle Khanna, Raveena Tandon showed support to Tanushree. Meanwhile, some of them opine that both the sides should be given a chance to tell their side of the story. Patekar is currently filming for Akshay Kumar starrer Housefull 4.
