Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar Row: Farhan Akhtar Comes Out in Support of the Actress, Says ‘Her Courage Should Be Admired, Not Her Intention Questioned’
Farhan Akhtar comes out in support of Tanushree Dutta. Here's what he has to say!
As we know, Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta alleged that Nana Patekar has sexually harassed her in 2009 while working on sets of Horn Ok Please; she also claimed that he has a history of abusing women. The actress went on to question the celebs, why do powerful stars continue work with him, despite the entire industry being aware of his reputation. While many celebrities slammed her allegations, actor Farhan Akhtar comes out in support of Tanushree Dutta.
The actor took to the micro blogging site to share his opinion on the same. Farhan wrote on Twitter, "This thread is very telling. @janiceseq85 was there at the time of the incident being debated today. Even when #TanushreeDutta had career concerns to keep quiet 10 years ago she did not & her story hasn’t changed now. Her courage should be admired, not her intention questioned. Refuting the allegations and referring to Tanushree Dutta's criticism, Nana Patekar told Times Now, "People can say whatever they want to say, I will keep doing my work." He further told the portal, "How would I know why she made the allegations. What can we do about someone else's statements? We were on the sets where there were 200 people. I will decide on taking a legal action against her. It would have been out in 2009 itself if such a thing had happened." Watch this space for further updates.
