The Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar row doesn't seem to be cooling down. And that is a good thing. This is a conversation that needs to happen. The latest update is that Tanushree has filed a complaint against Nana Patekar with National Commission for Women (NCW). This comes after Tanushree received a legal notice from Nana, in which he asked to publicly apologize to her for maligning his image with sexual harassment claims. Horn OK Please Actor Muzammil Ibrahim on Tanushree-Nana Controversy: Won’t Be Correct on My Part to Comment on It.
In her complaint with NCW, Tanushree has alleged that Nana has a history of violence and abuse on women. She has, once again, said that she was harassed on the sets of Horn Ok Please in 2008.
An official complaint sounds necessary at the given moment, as the issue is becoming, steadily, political. Some members of the MNS Youth wing have come out openly in support of Nana Patekar. They even, personally, handed over a letter to Bigg Boss 12 showrunners, that Tanushree, under no circumstances, should be a part of the show. Rumour mills suggested that Tanushree has been approached for the reality show.
Also, keep in mind, that Nana will be taking part in a press conference on October 8. He will be narrating his side of the story in this case which dates back to 2008. As reported by Times Now, not only Nana but the film's director Rakesh Sarang and choreographer Ganesh Acharya will be present as well.
In the wake of the #MeToo movement, which exposed many sexual predators in Hollywood, many Bollywood stars have come out against and in defence of Tanushree.
