On January 10 two big films clashed at the box office – Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Chhapaak. Both the films, starring Ajay Devgn and Deepika Padukone, respectively, were of different genres. Although both films opened to positive responses from the audience, it is Ajay’s film Tanhaji that is leading the box office race. Tanhaji has earned Rs 35.67 crore on the second day, while Deepika’s film could only mint Rs 11.67 crore. Seeing the current figures, it is pretty clear that Tanhaji is set to smash all the records at the ticket windows. The Meghna Gulzar directorial earned Rs 4.77 crore on the day of its release, but on day two it did see an upward trend, garnered Rs 6.90 crore.
