Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is an upcoming tale based on the life of an unsung warrior of Indian history, Tanhaji Malusare. Ajay Devgn has been roped in to play the role of this warrior, the founder of the Maratha Empire. This movie is absolutely special for him as it also happens to be his 100th film. The makers are going to be release the film’s trailer on November 19 and ahead of it, the look of Kajol as Savitri Malusare, the brave wife of the Maratha warrior, has hit the internet. In this poster Kajol as Savitri Malusare is looking absolutely impressive. She’s a doting mother and also a courageous wife, her eyes says it all. Talking about her role in the film, director Om Raut told BT, “Savitribai Malusare is a very important character. She is a strong woman who stands behind her warrior husband. She is loving, homely, motherly, and is also Tanhaji’s strong support system in every aspect of his life. While he fights the war on the battlefield, Savitri manages the fort at home. We wanted an actor who could pull off the multi-faceted character effortlessly. When we narrated the part to Kajolji, she liked it a lot. Talking about other characters in the film, Saif Ali Khan would be seen essaying the role of Udaybhan Rathod, Sharad Kelkar will be seen as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Luke Kenny as Aurangzeb. Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior was initially scheduled to be released in December 2019, however it will now hit the big screens in January 2020.
