Ajay Devgn and Kajol starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior just hit the screens. The period film is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, who was the military leader of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, founder of the Maratha Empire. His brave feat of recapturing the Kondhana fortress has been one of the eminent chapters in the history. Director Om Raut decided to make a multi-starrer film on the same, which is what all Tanhaji is about. The film that released this week, is doing wonders at the ticket windows. Tanhaji clashed with Deepika Padukone starrer Chhapaak as they both released on January 10. Both the film's were in buzz especially after Deepika's presence at the Jawaharlal Nehru University where she stood in solidarity with the students. The trolls tried to bring down her flick using #BoycottChhapaak and  promoted Tanhaji instead. Chhapaak, however, received positive reviews all over and hence the audience is divided between these two films. Box office wise, Tanhaji is currently leading in the forefront.
