There is no stopping Tanhaji The Unsung Warrior. The film took a great opening and cruised past many milestones including the Rs 200 crore mark. The race towards the benchmark was so strong it affected the two new releases of last Friday, Street Dancer 3D and Panga. Despite reduced screen count, Ajay Devgn's patriotic film earned Rs 202.83 crore. Of course, the tax-free status in several states is aiding its cause. But Maharastra has been exceptionally kind towards the film because it talks about the brave Tanhaji Malsure who fought for the Marathas. Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior: No Mention of Tanaji Malusare’s Birthplace in Film Claims Godoli Locals

Taran Adarsh reveals that its run in the Mumbai circuit has hampered Street Dancer 3D's opening day numbers as well. He tweeted, "#StreetDancer3D opens in double digits on Day 1... Should’ve collected higher, since youth-centric films, generally, open big... Biz affected in #Mumbai circuit due to #Tanhaji wave... Big growth on Day 2 and 3 essential for a strong total... Fri ₹ 10.26 cr. #India biz." Clearly, movie-goers are still opting for Tanhaji and his valour over an India-Pakistan dance-off.

Today, Tanhaji will become Ajay's biggest grosser ever, beating Golmaal Again. The film is expected to continue earning riches at the box office.
