Taimur Was Kareena Kapoor's Choice: Find Out What Saif Ali Khan Wanted to Name His Son!

His name generated quite a stir! Taimur courted a string of controversies. Today he might be an internet sensation with his rosy cheeks and royal bloodline but his nomenclature resonated with the title of a tyrant emperor of the Mughal era. But slowly and surely everybody warmed up to that name and Taimur has become the unquestionable king of social media.

But do you know that Taimur was to be named something really interesting and it was Saif Ali Khan who had come up with apparently a more romantic name? "The day before I was going to the hospital for delivery, I had a talk with Saif and he was suggesting to keep his name Faiz, he said, 'Bebo, that is a more poetic, more romantic name'. I said 'no, Taimur means iron and if I give birth to a son, my son is going to be a fighter, I will produce an iron man'. And yes, I proudly did so," revealed Kareena

The actress was present at The India Today Conclave 2018. Speaking to the host Rajdeep Sardesai, Bebo reflcted on how the name of her son became a topic for discussion for almost everyone.

The trolls were unmistakable and Bebo chose to speak on the same "Of course, there was trolling but at the same time there was an immense support from the people we were getting, not that trolls matter to us that much but it was our choice."

In her conversation she also added albeit humorously how the cameras follow Taimur everywhere and how the little bundle of joy is getting used to it by looking straight into the lens!
