Karan Johar is dying to work with a powerhouse of talent that Tabu is. He's busy finding the right scripts and picking the perfect character so strong that she ends up giving her nod to it. We earlier informed you about Tabu being approached for Dharma Productions' Kalank. She was offered Madhuri Dixit's role even before Sridevi was approached for it. Unfortunately, the Golmaal Again actress turned it down. Yes, as per Rajeev Masand's column in the Open Magazine, Karan was equally excited to display Tabu and Ranbir's refreshing chemistry in his last directorial. Both Aishwarya and the Tabu were the lead contenders for this role but the filmmaker decided to approach Mrs Bachchan first. And since Aish willingly gave her nod to it, the project was never offered to Tabu. And now that we are mentioning the latter's name, we are a bit curious to picturise her and RK Jr together. Anyways, the recent buzz around Tabu and Karan Johar is that she may be roped in to play Mumtaz Mahal in his next multi-starrer, Takht. While Anil Kapoor plays the role on Shah Jahan in Takht, she may be signed opposite him. However, the story doesn't revolve around their characters and signing a star as big as hers for it makes no sense. So guess, we'll wait till Karan thinks of a brilliant script for this incredible actress and hopefully, their collaboration will happen very soon.
