Taapsee Pannu is currently on an all-time career high. The actress recently starred in the majorly successful box office drama Mission Mangal. Prior to this, she was seen in Game Over and Badla, both of which have been fairly successful ventures and even won her ample of praises. The actress recently announced two new films, Rashmi Rocket and Thappad. For Thappad, Taapsee will be teaming up with Mulk director Anubhav Sinha again. Sharing the first look of sorts from the film, the actress shared a picture where she looks incredibly beautiful in a simple and salwar-kameez. The actress shared this amazing picture with an Amrita Pritam quote. She captioned it as, "When a man denies the power of women, he is denying his own subconscious - Amrita Pritam." She further wrote, "Moving from one Amrita to the other..... Main tenu pher milangi.... in theatres from 6th of March 2020."

Taapsee also shared the release date of the film along with it which is March 6, 2020. The film is expected to be a special treat for women considering it is a releasing over Women's Day next year. Sharing an update on the film, director Anubhav Sinha wrote, "Eleven is an auspicious number and this is my eleventh film and probably the toughest so far. Keep us blessed. This one is dedicated to the women of India. Looking at Taapsee's post, it looks like she will starring in the role of Amrita. Before Thappad and Rashmi Rocket, the actress also has another release, Saand Ki Aankh which is slated to release in October this year.
