The after-math of Pulwama terror attack is far reaching. The ghastly attack by a terrorist outfit in Pakistan which killed over 40 CRPF jawans made the entire nation burn with anger. However, Pakistan PM Imran Khan said in his speech that the allegations made on Pakistan were without any 'evidence'. Pakistani actor, who was last seen in Bollywood in Dear Zindagi, had lauded this speech saying 'What a speech'. He got trolled by the Indians for the same. However, when recently, Bollywood actress, Taapsee Pannu was asked about Ali's comment, she opined that he is just being true to his nation. Pulwama Terror Attack: Ali Zafar Lauds Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan Who Threatens to Retaliate if Attacked By India.

Speaking with Times Now, the Manmarziyaan actress said, "I don’t understand this. Do you expect him, being a Pakistani, to support a country he is not a part of? He has already been banned and we are all fine with it but how will it be if I am supporting my country and Pakistanis are trolling me, which they are now when I have tweeted about the Pulwama terror attack. What do you expect?"

She also further pointed out that the actor would be trolled even if he had not supported his country and supported India instead. She continued, "It’s his country. [If he doesn’t support his PM], he will be trolled otherwise. We are trolled here when we don’t celebrate our victories. It is stupid to expect him to do anything else. It’s not like he is not able to work because he is banned in India. He is working there and will. He needs to celebrate his country’s achievements and so do we and we are doing that. Obviously, he will support his country. What’s wrong in that?"

Not just Taapsee, but Ajay Devgn too recently made a similar comment about this issue. "He (Ali Zafar) is a Pakistani and he is going to support his nation and we are going to support our nation, " the Total Dhamaal actor stated. On the other hand, Taapsee recently posted a happy tweet on the safe return of IAF wing commander. She mentioned that she is waiting for the day with bated breath. On the work front, Taapsee will be next seen in Amitabh Bachchan starrer Badla.
