Swara Bhasker Calls Bigg Boss 12 Showrunners Out on For Buckling Under MNS Threat in Tanushree Dutta - Nana Patekar Row
There was a speculation that Tanushree Dutta might be a part of Salman Khan's reality show, Bigg Boss 12, as a wildcard entrant.
Tanushree Dutta had stirred a hornet's nest with her recent allegations against Bollywood star Nana Patekar and director Vivek Agnihotri, both of whom have been accused of misbehaving with her in the past. In the process, she also mentioned that when the Nana Patekar incident happened in 2008 during the shoot of the film Horn OK Pleasss, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) members had vandalised her car when she refused to shoot for the song. Nana Patekar to Answer Sexual Harassment Allegations by Tanushree Dutta in Press Conference on October 8.
After her allegations became public, there was a speculation that Tanushree Dutta might be a part of Salman Khan's reality show, Bigg Boss 12, as a wildcard entrant. However, some MNS workers landed at the office of the showrunners and threatened them of violence if Tanushree was made a part of the show. They even handed a letter stating their intent and for some reason, the showrunners even posed with the MNS workers while they accepted the letter!
Reacting to this news, actress Swara Bhasker, who has been one of the first celebs to support Tanushree Dutta, has called out the showrunners for their lack of guts in the matter and for supporting hooliganism.
Swara tweeted, "IS THIS A JOKE?????? Or are we now just okay with institutionalised hooliganism?????? And who takes pictures with the goons that threaten vandalism????? WHAT IS WRONG WITH US GUYS??!????". Swara, who doesn't shy away from speaking her mind out for sensitive topics, is clearly aghast over the whole photo-op!
Interestingly, Salman Khan, who has been hosting Bigg Boss 12, has been mum over the issue. He had also refused to comment on the whole Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar row, when asked about it during a recent media interaction.
