Don't know whether it was the big debacle of her last film, No Problem, but Sushmita Sen has not done a single Bollywood film since 2010. While she is quite busy on the social circuit and charitable causes, we have to be content watching her in Main Hoon Na and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?. She had acted in a Bengali film in between, but she has been giving Bollywood some wide berth. Well, if a report in DNA is to be believed, then that's all going to change now.
Sushmita Sen is making a comeback to Hindi cinema after a gap of eight years. She has given nod to a film, that will begin shoot from later this year. DNA quotes a source close to the development reveal to them, "Sushmita was approached for a movie that plays out in a small town in which her character is the protagonist. It’s a crime-based drama set in Madhya Pradesh wherein she plays a tough cop. Meanwhile, the film has changed hands — there’s a new director who will be on board. Sushmita, too, gave her inputs after she heard the narration. The makers decided to alter the script and make the necessary changes, post which, she gave a go ahead. The modalities are currently being worked out. Once that is done, she will sign on the dotted line."
If this report is true, we have to say we are pretty much excited. Sushmita Sen has played a cop in the underrated Samay: When Time Strikes, that was an unofficial remake of Se7en. She was pretty good in the role, so expect her to do something really awesome in her comeback movie. What say?
