Sushant Singh Rajput wasn't really in favour of Drive releasing on Netflix. The actor may have had some bigger plans about marking his debut on an OTT platform but after Drive's release, they all clearly went for a toss. Probably, that's the reason why he wasn't actively promoting his new release as much as his co-star Jacqueline Fernandez. While the reason for releasing it on a web platform was totally justified, SSR is clearly pissed with the makers' decision and has decided to add a new clause in all his future contracts. As per a report in Pinkvilla, Sushant is determined to not let history repeat itself in his case. As per the report, the actor has added a new point saying that he isn't comfortable with a film that was made for a theatre release, releasing on an OTT platform. If the makers have any inclination towards such an idea, they should inform him well in advance rather than keeping him in the dark. Interestingly, Saif, who has already made his OTT debut with Sacred Games is also planning on adding the same or similar cause. "Saif, too, faced a lot of back and forth on his last release Laal Kaptaan and although it eventually released in plexes, he was disappointed with the way it all panned out," a source said to the same web portal. We can understand Sushant's point of view but he should genuinely thank his stars for Drive not having a theatrical release. It would have been a bigger disaster.
