Sushant Singh Rajput is a busy man these days, working on some exciting movies ahead. He is currently on the verge of completion of Son Chiraiya. The dacoit drama, set in the ravines of Chambal, is directed by Udta Punjab fame Abhishek Chaubey. Bhumi Pednekar is the female lead in the movie. Sushant had also completed the first schedule of director Abhishek Kapoor's ambitious love story, Kedarnath, before the film landed into legal hassles between the director and the producer, KriArj Entertainment.
However, Kedarnath looks to be back on track after Ronnie Screwvala came on board as the producer. The shoot for the second schedule of the film is expected to start soon. But it looks like Sushant will begin working on another movie before that before he can spare dates for Kapoor.
That movie happens to be The Fault in our Stars remake, which marks the directorial debut of casting agent Mukesh Chhabra. As per a report in DNA, a source close to the project told the website, "Mukesh Chhabra plans to begin his directorial debut — the remake of The Fault In Our Stars around mid-June. Sushant has blocked a huge chunk of his dates for this movie because he wants to finish as much as possible in one go. However, he will also be accommodating another schedule of Kedarnath in between to complete the epic romance.”
The movie will also launch Sanjana Sanghi as the female lead. The original film, starring Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley, is about two cancer-afflicted teens who fall in love, as they cope with the idea of imminent mortality. AR Rahman scores music for the movie.
